National Day of Reflection

Tuesday 23rd March 2021 marks the one-year anniversary of the UK’s first national COVID-19 lockdown, and there is a 1 minute silence at 12 noon to comemorate this; to remember those we’ve lost, and to hope for better days to come.

All of the staff and children across the academies will be taking part in this moment of reflection.

There will also be a candle-lit minute of silence this evening at 8pm, when the nation is asked to ‘shine a light’ – be it from a candle, a torch, or even a phone – from wherever they are.

Charity Marie Curie has named today as a National Day of Reflection and has asked the nation to ‘come together to reflect on our collective loss, support those who’ve been bereaved and hope for a brighter future.’

We hope that you will join us.
